Your business can use Instagram to market your products and services. Here are some ways to get the most out of Instagram.

Instagram is a very popular social media platform, which can also be used as a marketing tool for businesses.

You can create an Instagram business account and use photos, live video, and hashtags for marketing your business.

Instagram ads can be used to advertise your business and the sales function on Instagram can be used to sell your products.

This article is intended for small business owners or marketers who wish to use Instagram to market and grow their businesses.

Instagram is the most popular photo-based social media platform. But it’s more than just keeping you updated on your friends adventures. Small businesses and influencers use Instagram to connect with their audience, engage and sell.

How to set up an Instagram business account

If you don’t have an Instagram account yet, you can create one and then convert it into a business account. It’s simple to convert an existing Instagram account to a business account if you have one.

Make a new Instagram account.

Here’s how to get one if you don’t have one already:

Install the Instagram mobile app on your Android, iOS, or Windows Phone smartphone or tablet. You can also access Instagram through a web browser but its functions are limited.

Tap Sign up.

Enter your email address. Use your business email address or one designated for your business’s social accounts. If you have an existing Facebook business account, you can log in to Facebook.

Select a username and password.

Now you have an Instagram account “personal”, which you can use to create a business profile.

How to use Instagram for your business

Instagram offers many marketing tools for small businesses, including stories, ads, and posts. These are the basics of Instagram for business.

1. Add professional-looking photos.

Instagram is a photo-sharing social network. It’s important to share visually appealing content. It’s not enough to post generic photos. Make sure you take photos and edit them.

To add a photo to the post:

Tap the Create (plus sign), at the top right of your screen.

Select Post

  • To take a new picture, tap the camera icon or choose a photo from your library.
  • Tap Next to select filters and edit options.
  • Tap Next to add a caption, tags people, and a location.
  • You can also choose to share the post on Facebook, Twitter, or Tumblr.
  • Tap Advanced Settings to adjust like and view count visibility and turn off comments.
  • Once you are satisfied, tap Share to share the photo.

2. Use Instagram Stories.

Instagram Stories is a popular feature that can be used for both personal and business accounts. Instagram Stories are photos, videos, and other content that disappear within 24 hours of being posted.

Instagram Stories allows you to create vibrant montages that grab attention and provide more information than traditional posts. You can use recorded video, still photos, and live videos. Boomerangs (videos that loop backwards), text, music, and focused photos are all options.

Stickers can be used to indicate your location, temperature, user tags, and hashtags.

You can interact with your viewers by inviting questions and creating polls. This makes it easy to gather valuable feedback. Some accounts use the question feature to host a weekly Ask Me Anything session. This is a great way to get answers to common questions.

3. Live streaming video

Instagram Stories is not the only option. Users can also stream live video that disappears, which works in a similar way to Snapchat and Facebook Live. Customers can get a glimpse behind-the scenes at your business by showing products and answering questions live via the comments.
